What started as an 88-acre parcel on Ribbon Ridge evolved into a vineyard of enduring renown when Michael G. Etzel, alongside his brother-in-law, Robert Parker, reimagined it as Beaux Frères. Today, after decades of dedication, the estate remains a beacon for exceptional Pinot Noir, marked by clarity, finesse, and a deep connection to its terroir. Nestled along the undulating slopes of Ribbon Ridge, the vineyard draws character from its ancient Willakenzie soils—remnants of a prehistoric seabed—that lend a subtle mineral thread to the wine. Biodynamic practices sustain the vines, while cool breezes from the Pacific temper the ripening process, coaxing out vibrant, layered fruit. Our tasting panel found the 2022 vintage utterly compelling, a wine that marries sophistication with an inviting warmth.
