NV PALMER & CO. SOLERA CHAMPAGNE ROSÉ Seven grower families with Premier Cru and Grand Cry vineyards in the Montagne de Reims region of Champagne came together in 1947 to create Palmer & Co. The winery's house style became characterized by elegance and balance, achieved through combining technical precision and harmony into every bottle they produce. Palmer utilizes the Solera system made famous by the wines of Jerez, in which there is a perpetual reserve of base wine that is topped up each year with wine from the latest harvest. The Solera Rosé is enriched with Pinot Noir from the Solera system, giving an exceptionally fruity nose with a fine-tuned balance of vanilla and toast reflecting decades of expertise from the house of Palmer. The current winemaker at Palmer & Co. is Xavier Berdin, who serves as the Cellar Master. He has been with Palmer & Co. and has brought his innovative approach to winemaking, including the use of the Solera system, which is somewhat atypical for Champagne production​.
