Riverbound gives the wine its backbone. Planted on well-draining alluvial and sandy loam soils in the heart of Yountville, the site naturally delivers both brightness and texture. Warm days build depth and ripeness, while cool evenings preserve freshness and lift. In 2025, that balance is especially lovely, layering citrus, green melon, white florals, and a distinct mineral edge with impressive clarity. The longer the wine sits in the glass, the more it reveals. Bright citrus and floral notes slowly give way to deeper mineral and textural layers, revealing a level of complexity that most Sauvignon Blancs never reach. Our panel agreed this is the finest Riverain yet, with more energy, detail, and overall composure than any previous vintage we have tasted.
