The 2023 Robert Craig Affinity takes more than three decades of Napa Cabernet history uphill. Affinity has been part of the lineup since 1993. For the first time, it’s sourced entirely from vineyards across Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder and Moon Mountain, built around the high-elevation fruit Robert Craig has championed from the beginning. Robert Craig calls 2023 a spectacular vintage, shaped by a historically cold start, a moderate summer, and a cool fall that stretched the season well beyond the Napa norm. Affinity wasn’t harvested until October 6 through October 31, giving the fruit a long season to ripen. The blend is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, and is aged 18 months in French oak. It’s a polished, firmly structured Cabernet with the cellar potential you expect from Robert Craig. At $55, the first all-mountain Affinity makes serious Napa Cabernet easy to put on the table.
