Post & Vine is committed to honoring the legacy of California’s storied vineyards, and the Mule Plane Vineyard in the Mokelumne River AVA is a prime example. Nearly a century old, this five-acre gem produces fruit of exceptional complexity and character, reflecting its deep roots and rich history. The 2021 Carignane was hand-harvested and meticulously sorted before undergoing 50% whole cluster fermentation with native yeast. This meticulous approach has resulted in a wine of profound depth and elegance, capturing the essence of the vineyard and the artistry of its maker. Winery Notes: "The incredible ruby color of the 2021 Post & Vine Mule Plane Carignane complements intense aromas of kirsch, raspberry, pomegranate, violets, and cedar with an undertone of cinnamon spice. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is bright and fresh with fine sandy tannin playing a supporting role to flavors of raspberry, cranberry, cedar, and hints of anise. The finish is well balanced with fine tannin that slowly drifts away."
