2019 LIVIO SASSETTI PERTIMALI BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO The Sassetti family has been cultivating some of Montalcino’s finest vineyards for over a century. Their brand, Tenuta Pertimali, stands as one of Tuscany’s premier producers, showcasing their exceptional winemaking skills. Robert Parker once famously stated that if he could choose only one Brunello to drink for the rest of his life, “it would have to be Pertimali,” highlighting the winery's esteemed reputation. The estate vineyards, primarily planted with the native Brunello Sangiovese Grosso clone, are situated in the renowned Montosoli hills just north of Montalcino. This area is celebrated for yielding some of the finest Sangiovese in the region, contributing to the unique quality and character of Tenuta Pertimali's wines. Each grape is meticulously hand-harvested and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats to preserve its purity.
