More About 2019 Arrow & Branch Vine Hill Ranch Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon Arrow&Branch sources fruit from some of Napa Valley’s most sought-after vineyard sites, creating wines with a site-specific identity of exceptional character. One such vineyard source is Vine Hill Ranch in Oakville. This site spreads across seven blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon planted in the wooded hills of the Mayacamas range and the Oakville Bench, creating a harmonious balance between expressive mountain-grown fruit and bright, energetic benchland-grown fruit. Winemaker Jennifer Williams began her journey in the wine world in 2002, joining Araujo and Spottswoode as a harvest intern and later working under David Abreu in the vineyards and Rosemary Cakebread in the winery, finally joining Arrow&Branch in 2011. The 2019 growing season saw light spring rains followed by uniform, temperate warm summer temperatures and a mild fall harvest season. These conditions allowed an extended hang-time creating deep, dynamic flavors and lush, fine-grained tannins.
