2018 COLLEMATTONI BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO Collemattoni Farmhouse, built in the 17th century atop a Montalcino hill, lends its name to the winery. Marcello Bucci runs the estate with a winemaking philosophy that blends technology with tradition to produce the finest Tuscan wines. The heart of the winery is the Collemattoni Vineyard, spanning less than five acres. The winery itself was completely remodeled in 2012, allowing the winemaking team to meticulously control every step, from fermentation to bottling. After manual harvesting, the grapes ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before aging for 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels. The 2018 release reflects the successful vintage with a beautiful structure, ripe fruit balanced by acidity, and excellent aging potential. Collemattoni's winemaker is Marcello Bucci. He is not only the winemaker but also the owner of the estate. Marcello studied winemaking in Siena and gained experience through internships at various wineries in Montalcino, working alongside renowned winemakers and agronomists. This experience inspired him to start his own project, leading to the establishment of Collemattoni winery, which he now runs with a strong focus on both traditional and modern winemaking techniques​ Additional Review: "Lustrous mid ruby with orange tinges.
