“The Marrone 2017 Barolo surprises with its more subdued nature. Despite the hot and dry growing season, the bouquet maintains its elegance with dried cherry, cassis, lavender and iris root. There are no overripe sensations here, and the elegant nuances of Nebbiolo are left largely intact, which is not easy considering the challenges of the growing season.”
