The Cold Creek Ranch Vineyard spans 300 acres and sits on the Sonoma side of Carneros. It benefits from the refreshing sea breezes from San Pablo Bay, which are ideal for Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. Pinot Grigio, or Pinot Gris, originated from the Burgundy region of France long ago and was later planted in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy in the 19th century. It found a suitable climate there, took root, and became increasingly popular. Today, Pinot Grigio is one of the most planted varieties in the world.
