Gary, Melody, and son Chris Morisoli still implement an old-world style of farming using some of the farm's original tractors and a French plow for weed control around the vines. Winemaker Joel Aiken is an expert in Rutherford terroir. He graduated from UC Davis, spent 27 years at the historic Beaulieu Vineyards (BV), and later created Aiken Wine Consulting, which introduced him to the Morisoli family. The 2019 Morisoli Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is rich, bold, and age-worthy, coming from the celebrated Rutherford Bench, with concentrated flavors reminiscent of mountain fruit that proudly represent the inaugural vintage release of the brand.
