More about 2019 Grassi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon The Grassi wines are made by Maayan Koschitzky who has become one of the most in-demand winemakers in Caloifornia since he moved from Israel, his native country, to Napa Valley. Maayan has crafted wines at Screaming Eagle and Dalla Valle and serves as director of winemaking for Philippe Melka’s Atelier Melka, in addition to producing his own wines under the Royal Prince label. The wine is dark in color with an elegant but powerful nose full of dark fruit, spices, and mountain sage. The wine is full-bodied with excellent tension, notes of black cherry, graphite and mountain herbs, and a hint of fruit sweetness. Silky yet firm tannin structure gives the wine a great length.
