These carry to a full-bodied, rounded, opulent 2019 with sweet, building tannins and a great finish. Give it a few years.”

More About the 2019 Fortunate Son the Diplomat Napa Valley Red Jayson Woodbridge is one of California’s most well-known, talented winemakers who founded Hundred Acre in 1998. His wines have made the Wine Spectator Top 100 list in his second vintage and earned more than twenty perfect 100-point scores from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate between 2002 and 2015. Jayson resurrected his Fortunate Son brand after years of searching for the ideal plots, and “The Dreamer,” “The Diplomat,” and “The Warrior” all come from small, family-owned vineyards, crafted in Hundred Acre’s state-of-the-art underground winery with the same precision and attention to detail.
