Cabernets from the region are known for their power, intensity, and longevity, and very few are obtainable at under $100… Highlands is a project between two veterans in the industry, Paul Segas, and Dave Cofran. Paul is an experienced grape grower that sold fruit to Chateau Montelena, Robert Mondavi, and Joseph Phelps. Dave has been working as an enologist and winemaker since 1967, and in 1984 he joined Silver Oak as GM. This 2018 Howell Mountain Reserve Cabernet is made in a deep, captivating style and offers powerful intensity presented with elegance and length. The blend is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and is enjoyable now and cellar for more than a decade. "Full and powerful nose and deep ruby/garnet color in this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon drives anticipation.
