More About 2015 KEEVER NAPA Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Keever Vineyards in Yountville, has everything necessary to make world class wines, including legendary winemaking, prime vineyard location, and a 3rd component that you won't find on a winery tech sheet, which is outstanding people. The Keevers are always friendly, and they're a special part of the Yountville community. Olga, her husband Bill and daughter Ashley all come by our shop in Yountville, and we're thrilled to support their wines. Their winemaker is Celia Welch, and you might recognize her artistry from Scarecrow, D.R. Stephens, Barbour, Dalla Valle... Their 2015 Cabernet is deep, rich, and filled with chocolate dusted berries, ripe plum, cherry pipe tobacco, baking spices and vanilla bean. The long, elegant, expansive finish is a hallmark of the Keever wines and they're always a joy to behold. Rising from a blockbuster vintage in Napa Valley, and one Vinous describes as producing "opulent, voluptuous wines with real personality...," Keever's 2015 Cabernet has a monstrous center core of fruit and the piercing clarity and definition that I look for in upper echelon Cabernet. On the palate the wine lures you in with scrumptious textures that come layered in black cherry, espresso roast, and sweet vanilla.
