$17.44 $17.44
Sourced from a low-yielding vineyard in Sonoma’s renowned Dry Creek Valley, William Knuttel’s expertise with this varietal really paid off with this wine… Having experimented with multiple different Malbec clones, he found that the most important variable for top-quality Malbec fruit, comes from low yields.
Aged for 16 months in Francois Freres barrels, and made in a classic Bordeaux style… The fruit was meticulously hand sorted at the winery, as Knuttel carefully guided it from grape to bottle… William Knuttel first began working with Malbec as VP of winemaking at Chalk Hill Estate in the early 1990’s and has more than two decades experience with this fascinating varietal.
One of the five classic Bordeaux varietals, Malbec is widely planted in Argentina, Chile, Southern France, and California… If you’re searching for a high-quality California Malbec that can go head-to-head with some of Argentina’s finest and in the under thirty category, this is it…
