2013 JAMES JOSEPH “KATHRYN’S RESERVE” CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Robert Parker recently wrote that “2013 may turn out to be the finest vintage I have experienced in tasting North Coast varietals over the last 37 years.” Born from declassified barrels of world-class Cabernet Sauvignon primarily sourced from Napa Valley’s iconic Diamond Mountain AVA, the 2013 James Joseph Kathryn’s exhibits a level of quality far exceeding its price level.
The final blends were authored by the same winemaker responsible for the wildly popular STEPS label, which has very quickly become one of my most popular brands ever… The intense, voluptuous, full-throttle style has resonated with countless connoisseurs, many releases selling out in as few as 6 hours…
If you enjoy some of the absolute best of what Napa Valley has to offer, without the premium price tag that normally comes with it, you’ll want to secure a case of this limited Reserve Cabernet while supplies last. With a total production of 150 cases, the entire vintage is already nearly sold out.

Tasting Notes: "A voluptuous and intense bouquet of wild berries, chocolate covered blueberries, vanilla, crème de cassis, and subtle oak. Impressively defined layers of plum, freshly picked blackberries, Ghirardelli Chocolate, espresso and caramel seduce the palate. The fine grained, well integrated tannins extend the finish with a rich, velvety mouth-feel. Ready be enjoyed upon release or cellared for 10 to 12 years." 150 Cases Produced
