2012 THOMAS FOGARTY “SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS” CHARDONNAY
This racy, seductive 2012 Chardonnay recently impressed Antonio Galloni, formerly with Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate. His Vinous review opined that this wine “delivers the goods and then some”, scoring the wine 91 Points.
Sourced predominantly from Langley Hill Vineyard (69%) and Damiana Vineyards (23%), the two single vineyard Chardonnays from each of these vineyards retail for $60/btl. Aged for 10 months in French Oak Barrels, this 2012 Chardonnay is drinking beautifully and has a few more years of enjoyment ahead.
The previous vintage of Thomas Fogarty’s Santa Cruz Mountain Chardonnay earned a place on Wine & Spirit’s list of the 100 Best wines of the year, with 94 Points! I highly recommend not waiting for their review on the 2012 to come out, because I think it’s even better…
