2012 EHLERS ESTATE “NAPA VALLEY” CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Established in 1886, Ehlers Estate still runs out of the original stone building erected in 1886 by Bernard Ehlers. The winery is uniquely positioned just South of Chuck McMinn's renowned “Aida” Vineyard and Turley's St. Helena Estate. They're North of Vineyard 29 and Revana… Numerous high-scoring Cabernets come from this area.
Winemaker Kevin Morrisey previously made wine at Stags' Leap Winery and Etude, fashioning their high scoring Cabernets. Aged for 18 months in French Oak Barrels, with an additional 18 months in the bottle, this wine is hitting it's stride right now and promises to evolve for at least another decade.
From a vintage unanimously recognized for its unrivaled quality, this delicious Cabernet impresses with its incredible focus, and compelling personality. In a neighborhood averaging $60-$150/btl, Ehlers 2012 Napa Valley Cabernet is also an impressive value.

2012 EHLERS ESTATE "NAPA VALLEY" CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Winemaker's Notes: "This is a full-bodied, heavyweight Cabernet Sauvignon from the loamy benchland soils of our north St. Helena estate vineyard. The wine is layered with blackberry, black raspberry, caramel and milk chocolate, and sports a great structure and backbone. Focused acid, silky soft tannins, and a touch of spice emerge from the mid-palate. Compelling and complex, this is a fine Bordeaux style Cabernet blend that will age for decades "
