2017 DESANTE RUTHERFORD CABERNET SAUVIGNON

“The DeSante Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 begins with a penetrating nose of Mountain blackberries, dark cherries, and Burgundy plums, along with hints of crushed granite, and cedar.  The palate is elegantly styled, focused, and concentrated with mixed berries, red currants, ripe plum and vanilla spice, along with that classic Rutherford dust character.  This  is a beautiful wine to drink now, and will effortlessly age for well over a decade.”

“The Dayna Estate Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 begins with a lively nose of ripe blackberry purée, Italian glove leather, sweet vanilla spice, and light Spring florals. The palate continues with rich black cherries, juicy pomegranate, and mixed berries, combined with a liquid mineral character, freshly milled black pepper and crushed velvety tannins. Tasting Notes: “The 2017 Steps Barrel Select begins with a pungent, ripe nose of blueberry syrup, cassis, blackberries, vanilla spice, crushed stone, espresso roast, along with a distinct, seductive savory component.  The palate explodes with muddled blackberries, fresh black cherries, cocoa powder and earthy minerals along with dusty tannins, all culminating in a long, decadent finish.  Drink now until 2028.”
