The Bucher family immigrated from Switzerland in the 1950s determined to continue their family legacy of dairy farming. After their son John graduated from UC Davis in 1984, he helped transition the farm into organic dairy farming and began planting vineyards, diversifying their crops.

With the help of Bob Cabral, former winemaker at Williams Selyem, the Bucher Vineyard was established and supplied top wineries throughout Sonoma with award-winning fruit. The winery’s estate Pinot Noir is selected from ten different blocks of prized Pinot Noir clones, including Swan, Mt Eden, Pommard, and Dijon, contributing the depth and complexity expected from premium Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.

A kiss of rose petals lightens the palate. Bright acidity and a creamy texture give this wine a lovely balance that showcases this blend of our vineyard blocks and clones."
