2019 DOMAINE DROUHIN LAURENE DUNDEE HILLS PINOT NOIR
Domaine Drouhin Oregon was established in 1987, and for nearly four decades, the family has contributed a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to their vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Joseph Drouhin purchased the business trading rights for a wine house in Beaune in 1880, which planted his family’s roots deep into the wine business, gaining the Drouhin’s an international reputation for excellence.
Fourth-generation winemaker Véronique Boss-Drouhin crafted more than 30 vintages in Burgundy and Oregon and is known as the “Guardian of the Drouhin palate” and is responsible for the family’s house style. Laurène is the winery’s flagship Pinot Noir, named after Véronique’s eldest daughter and arising from the estate’s vineyards in the Dundee Hills. The 2019 vintage is a shining example of the region, marked by bright and balanced fruit with a firm structure and velvety tannins.
