2019 ALMA DE CATTLEYA SONOMA COUNTY PINOT NOIR
Gifted winemaker Bibiana González Rave graduated with honors from the University of Bordeaux, gaining invaluable experience at Château Haut-Brion, a top Bordeaux producer in France, Soronsberg in South Africa, Lynmar Estate, and Peay in California, before climbing the ranks at Pahlmeyer. Using her vast skill set, she crafts Alma de Cattleya wines to represent varietal purity and prove that she can produce fantastic wine at an accessible price.
Founded equally from Russian River and Sonoma Coast Vineyards, favoring maritime-influenced sites, Bibiana’s 2019 Pinot Noir is vibrantly detailed, fragrant, and expertly balanced. She ferments this wine in stainless steel open-top tanks, allowing hand-punch-downs to preserve freshness, and is committed to the highest quality in every aspect of production. This Pinot embodies the soul of Sonoma County, and at $30, everybody should try it.
