2018 EDICT ANDERSON VALLEY PINOT NOIR
Edict’s philosophy of hand-crafting wines that are loved and remain true to their varietal and region is evident when you taste them. Their 2018 Pinot Noir was born from a unique vineyard in Anderson Valley centered between two creeks and has well-drained gravely soils. The appellation is near the Pacific Ocean, and Pinot Noirs from there have beautiful floral-infused flavors and aromas, lively fruit, and subtle earthy characteristics.
This dynamic Pinot gains complexity from a wide range of Dijon clones 115, 667, and 777, as well as Swan and Pommard. Each clone distinctively showcases the vineyard’s terroir, and when combined, offer your palate a full representation of the vineyard.
In Anderson Valley, 2018 offered a near-perfect growing season for Pinot Noir, and one the Wine Spectator rated 91-94 points referencing, “Nearly perfect conditions; full-flavored wines backed by crisp acidity, especially from coastal vineyards.”
