Kosta Browne is the most sought after name in domestic Pinot Noir, and the brand burst into the spotlight when their 2009 vintage ranked as the Wine Spectator #1 Wine back in 2011.  The wines immediately became nearly impossible to acquire, and now 8 successful vintages later and they’re still hard to find. Kosta Browne’s 2017 Russian River Pinot is a cuvée style Pinot Noir with vast complexity, that was comprised of more than a dozen renowned vineyard sites including, Bootlegger’s Hill, Treehouse, Zio Tony, Moonshine, Laguna Valdez, Jenkins, Koplen, Keefer, and the list goes on.

Adding even more layers of complexity, the 2017 was formed from ten iconic Pinot Noir clones, spanning 777, to Pommard 4, Swan and Calera.  It didn’t stop there either, the winemaking team fermented in multiple styles including Stainless Steel, Concrete, and wood, and for added depth and structure, they utilized 3% whole cluster fermentation in the process.
