From Vinous, “The 2015 Pinot Noir Ryan Widdoes Vineyard is exceptionally beautiful and vivid in the glass. Bright red cherry, plum, rose petal and lavender notes abound. The Martini clone gives the wine its intriguing aromatic top notes, but there is also striking fruit intensity. The Ryan is a bit eccentric. It is also a wine that draws the taster in with its myriad shades of expression.” 91-94 Points
Winery Notes: “Typical Widdoes Vineyard briary fruit-filled aromatics are spicy, dark, and pure: black raspberry and black cherry with licorice, orange peel, lilac, and fresh mint. Immediate palate intensity, a real thrust and drive to the wine’s flavors. Wild berry, sweet thyme, anise, and a mineral freshness run through the wine, expanding to succulent layers of dark fruit, plush and deep with great nuance and detail. Long savory, mouthwatering finish. Wonderful clarity of flavor.”
