2014 SONNET “TONDRE’S GRAPEFIELD” PINOT NOIR, SANTA LUCIA HIGHLANDS

Emerging from a single vineyard located next-door to the prized Garys’ Vineyard, this gorgeous 2014 Pinot unveils  a Cirque du Soleil performance of aromatics in stunning detail, and thrilling levels of fruit.  Delicately woven layers of rose petals, violets and plums perfectly frame an abundance of juicy dark cherries, Asian spices and black raspberry.  Unsurprisingly, this is one of my most beloved and re-ordered Pinots of all time.  Sonnet is also a favorite at our Yountville store’s Tasting Bar… Come by and try some!

Sporting an irresistible, voluptuous texture, this beauty was aged for 14 months in oak barrels, resulting in the enticing combination of cherry-berry pie fruit and exotic spices.  An earlier vintage of this profound Pinot earned high praise when it scored 98 Points at the CA State Fair Wine Competition.  This one is every bit as good and is a superb wine that Pinot fans will adore.  I highly recommend picking up a case, while supplies last… you can thank me later.
