2018 BUONCRISTIANI O.P.C. NAPA VALLEY PROPRIETARY RED

Driven by the synergy of blending Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah and rounding out the complexity and texture of the blend with Merlot and Malbec, the Buoncristiani brothers have found their secret recipe. Grapes for the O.P.C. are sourced from some of Napa’s most prized vineyards, including Hyde, Stagecoach, Hossfeld, and Bennett, creating a wine that further enhances the enjoyment of life.

The brothers run all aspects of their business, from growing and production to sales and marketing, adding a personal touch to every bottle produced. The relatively cool 2018 vintage initially produced wines with a tightly bound structure, like a fresh rosebud just before bloom, a bit firm upon the first impression, but then slowly unfolding its layers of complexity with each moment, revealing a very intriguing wine. Reviewed more than a year ago, the wine has blossomed into something extraordinary and is possibly their best version yet.
