Created from ancient, historic vineyards throughout Napa Valley, T-Vine’s Hallowed Ground is comprised of fruit from the iconic Frediani Vineyard in Calistoga, established in 1905, as well as fruit from Black Sears Vineyard on Howell Mountain, Bacigalupi and Nichelini to name a few. It’s a tantalizing combination of Zinfandel, Petit Sirah, Syrah, Charbono and Carignan, T-Vine’s 2013 Hallowed Ground delivers  everything I look for in old vine blends.
After spending 16 months in oak, this deep, seductive blend of predominantly Zinfandel at 38%, exhibits the kind of deep, concentrated flavors only achieved from very old vines. For those of you who’ve tasted any of T-Vine’s wines over the years, no other information is needed other than here’s another winner from one of Napa Valley’s best.

Winery Notes: "Blackberries and chocolate dusted cranberries are exposed as the nose opens, supported by heaps of cinnamon, cracked black pepper, vanilla and ginger. Powerful dark fruit is very well balanced by savory spice and cigar box flavors. The wine has a very soft entry that builds to a peak across the mid-palate while it leads to a long, deep finish that lingers well after the final drop is gone."
