2013 DUCKHORN “PARADUXX” PROPRIETARY RED

Conquering your senses with a striking bouquet which comes embroidered with milk chocolate, espresso, crème de cassis, and gorgeous blackberry, Duckhorn’s 2013 Paraduxx had our veteran tasting panel floored over the quality.  The winery is an inspirational reference standard for mastering Bordeaux varietals in Napa Valley, and at 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, the new Paraduxx Proprietary Red is making a strong statement of quality and value.   Fabulously concentrated with profound depth and a velvety integration of tannins, we loved the 2013 so much, that we’re now featuring this wine on our tasting menu and by-the-glass at our Yountville store.

Arising from one of Napa Valley’s best vintages, the 2013 Paraduxx reaped the rewards of developing for 18 months in oak barrels and one year in the bottle before release.  Marked by a scrumptious texture, the 2013 was built around a core of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and was enhanced with Merlot, Zinfandel and Petit Verdot.  Fans of deep, round, opulent Reds will be thrilled with this new release.
