2013 ARIETTA “QUARTET” PROPRIETARY RED
$64.99 $64.99
Robert Parker recently wrote that, “2013 may turn out to be the finest vintage I have experienced in tasting North Coast varietals over the last 37 years.” The 2013 Arietta Quartet was composed by Andy Erickson who you may recall made Screaming Eagle from 2005-2010 producing two perfect 100 Point Wines. Beyond that, he also assisted in making wine at Harlan Estate.
This superior blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot was aged for 22 months in oak. With fruit sourced from Coombsville, Carneros and Calistoga AVAs, this is one of the most complex and deeply layered reds that I’ve tasted all year.
With Arietta’s pedigreed winemaking and carefully chosen vineyard sources, this seductive 2013 blend will leave a long lasting impression. I’m predicting big scores with this vintage, and as great friend and mentor to me in the wine business would frequently say in similar situations, “don’t wait to read about this one in the obituaries…”

2013 ARIETTA "QUARTET" PROPRIETARY RED
From Antonio Galloni's Vinous, "Arietta Red Wine Quartet 2013 Arietta's 2013 Quartet is dark, plump and juicy. Black cherry, cloves, new leather, smoke and licorice are all pushed forward. The 2013 finishes with a lovely floral/savory edge that is highly appealing. Drink this delicious, open-knit blend over the next decade or so." 93 Points
