2013 ALTA “QUATREAUX” PROPRIETARY RED
$34.00 $34.00
Embracing sensational hedonism and stemming from four unique Mountainside Vineyards throughout Napa Valley, including the winery’s Estate Vineyard on Atlas Peak as well as fruit from the iconic Stagecoach Vineyard. Each unique site adds its own distinctive stamp of complex flavors and textures to the final, multidimensional Mountain blend. At $26/btl below the winery retail, I strongly recommend securing a case of Alta’s inaugural release of this distinct and provocative red blend.
A glorious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the espresso-infused black cherry and supple tannins support a finish that lasts nearly 40 seconds. Â Aged for 20 months in French oak before spending more than a year developing in the bottle, this 2013 blend is absolutely stunning… Â At $34/btl I recommend making some serious room in the cellar.

2013 ALTA "QUATREAUX" PROPRIETARY RED
Winery Notes: "The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are the backbone of this wine, bringing rich texture and supple tannins with beautiful floral notes and dark, ripe berry aromas. The Cabernet Franc has harmonized and stretched out the tannins for a long finish, while also supporting the floral and fruit aromas with hints of tobacco. The Petit Verdot further extends the floral infused bouquet of the wine. After fermentation, the wine was aged for twenty months in French oak, of which 65% was "new wood" and 35% second year."
