2012 LAIRD “JILLIAN’S BLEND” NAPA

$45.00 $40.99 $40.99

Perpetually gaining momentum, and inducing consistent praise, Laird’s 2012 Jillian’s Blend is predominately Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), sourced from the winery’s famed Mast Ranch Vineyard.  Their single vineyard Mast Ranch Cab sells for $75/btl, FYI…  At $40.99/btl with ground shipping included, the 2012 Jillian’s Blend is a fantastic value.  Laird’s Consulting Winemaker, Paul Hobbs is one of the top winemakers in the world, having crafted such notables as Opus One, DuMOL, Peter Michael and Lewis.

When Robert Parker Jr. tasted this newly released vintage, he alerted readers to the “…good purity, uplift and density in the long velvety finish…” and scored the wine 91 Points.  Spending 18 months in oak, this powerful, showy, and hedonistic blend is one of their best yet.  From a vintage that winemakers describe as textbook and ideal, the quality to price ratio of this popular blend is completely off the charts…  I strongly recommend a case while supplies last.

Description

2012 LAIRD “JILLIAN’S BLEND” NAPA VALLEY, PROPRIETARY RED

Winery Notes: “A sweet nose of butterscotch leads to a tornado of flavor, including homemade blackberry pie and eucalyptus. A very lively and spice filled finish leaves a lingering finish of baking spices, coffee and pipe tobacco. With a rich body and moderate tannins this will be a show stopper for years to come.”
