2012 ANDREW LANE “BARREL SELECT” PROPRIETARY RED
We love hearing what you think of our wines, and it’s become abundantly clear that the best feedback often comes from wines that have a little extra bottle age. The 2007 Ascent Diamond Mountain Cab, 2009 Auburn James Blend, and 2012 Sailor’s Grave Blend have all sparked a fury of enthusiastic comments and rapid re-orders. Andrew Lane’s 2012 Barrel Select relinquishes a fully developed bouquet, opening up to a host of dark, soaring fruits, lavender-infused chocolates, dried violets and incense. Created from carefully selected barrels from the 2012 vintage, and aged for 4 years in oak before bottling, this 2012 is indescribably great and drinks like a wine that you would expect to pay double the price for.
Arranged from specific vineyards in Atlas Peak, Rutherford, Howell Mountain and Saint Helena, and blossoming from one of Napa Valley’s most distinguished vintages, we can’t wait to hear all the great comments that this will undoubtably generate. This classic Bordeaux styled blend is cast from the impressive mold that made Napa famous. The only down-side is that there were only 400 cases produced. I highly recommend clearing some space in the cellar for this…

Winery Notes: "Rich black currant and cassis flavors, dried cherry and chocolate finish soft and long. A touch of violet character adds distinction with some tawny beginning to develop."
