2020 CANTINA PUIATTI FRIULANO
$29.99 $29.99
Friulano is considered the traditional grape of Friuli in northern Italy, beloved for its fresh tropical fruits, floral character, and purity. As this grape continually gains popularity, many quality-minded producers take a more serious focus, elevating its status even higher. Cantina Puiatti was founded in 1967 by Vittorio Puiatti, a pioneer of modern winemaking in the Friuli region whose goal was to emphasize the purity of the region’s wines.
The winemaking approach is simple; no maceration, no oak, and only use native yeasts, creating wines that speak of their terroir and varietal type. Friulano is gaining lots of followers, being a refreshing alternative in the white wine world that pairs perfectly with the region’s locally produced Prosciutto di San Daniele and can stand up to bigger dishes like a roast chicken.
