2016 QTR “NAPA VALLEY” CHENIN BLANC

Amazingly, this is our first ever stand-alone offer on a 100% Chenin Blanc.  Quite frankly, we’ve never tasted one quite like this… Fresh, vibrant and full of energy, escaping from the glass with a tapestry of tangerine, warm pear, honey-drizzled apple and liquid floral.  On the palate, a keen line of acidy threads pure, redolent flavors which develop in the glass.  Utterly sensational, this wine was crafted by Thomas Rivers Brown, whom you may recognize from Schrader, Revana, Maybach, Gemstone and Outpost.  Brown made history as the first American winemaker to receive a perfect 100 Point score from the Wine Spectator, and has had more than a dozen 100 Point wines in his career.

With less than 14 acres of Chenin Blanc recorded in Napa Valley, QTR’s vineyard was planted by Jim Barbour, one of California’s top Vineyard Managers who planted vineyards for Hundred Acre, Grace Family and Barbour to name a few.   With a total production of 4 barrels, there likely won’t be enough of this stunning white to meet demand.
