2016 PURAMUN RESERVA VALLE DE UCO MALBEC
$29.99 $29.99
Jose “Pepe” Galante was the head winemaker at Catena Zapata, one of Argentina’s paramount producers, from 1976 to 2010, and his wines helped put Argentina on the up-and-coming list of great wines from the New World. Pepe founded Puramun in 2010 as his first venture into a small, family-owned wine operation in the Valle de Uco in Mendoza, known for producing some of Argentina’s most concentrated, structured, and elegant Malbecs.
Puramun means ‘harvest’ in the native Mapuche language of the region and highlights the unique set of conditions that define each vintage. The wine team harvested the 2016 fruit from vines averaging 18 years of age at an impressive 4,300 feet elevation, resulting in deep complexity and intensity of flavors and aromas with fresh acidity and velvety tannins.
