2011 CORINO “L’INSIEME” LANGHE ROSSO
$49.99 $49.99
With a mere 80 cases produced, this rare cuvée from Italy’s renowned La Morra district was created in collaboration with eight Barolo producers committed to charitable work through winemaking. Corino’s not-to-be-missed L’Insieme blend is decidedly nuanced, deliciously executed by a confident and beautifully focused bouquet filled with Oriental spices, bold tones of dark red fruits, cherry and violets.
A choreographed union of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Corino’s L’insieme spends 18 months in French oak before blending and an additional six months in tank once the blend is completed. Reaping the benefits of nearly 3 years in the bottle, this wine seems to evolve infinitely as the wine opens up in the glass, and showcases the powerful, captivating style that I look for in great Italian blends. We love this wine so much, we’re pouring it by the glass in our Yountville Wine Shop/Tasting Room. Come by for a glass.
