2006 CHATEAU GREE LAROQUE BORDEAUX
$29.00 $29.00
With an abundantly aromatic bouquet, swirling from the glass and enticing your senses, this 2006 Bordeaux is drinking absolutely beautifully right now. Supported by the growing number of fans who’ve tasted this beauty at our Yountville store, it’s a wine Robert Parker declared as “A real stud in terms of quality and consistency… sleeper of the vintage… Excellent value.”  We were thrilled to uncover a small amount of this perfectly aged Bordeaux, and after experiencing just how well the wine was showing right now… we bought all we could. Imported by Lou Kapcsandy, owner of Kapcsandy Winery in Napa Valley, and well-known for producing a slew of perfect 100 point wines…
Skillfully shaped from nearly a 1/2 century old Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) vines that are impeccably farmed from Laroque’s vineyards, this beauty is astonishingly well balanced with velvety tannins that wrap around violet-infused blackberry, back raspberry, dark plum and graphite. If you’re searching for a delightful bottle of Bordeaux that doesn’t require years of cellaring… This one is definitely for you.

Tasting Notes: "A glorious and persistent bouquet loaded with crushed raspberries, violets, complex floral notes and subtle oak nuances. Cascading over the palate are perfectly balanced, beautifully defined flavors of blackberry, crushed rock, dark plum and graphite.  Velvety tannins help support the wines long, pleasurable finish. Ready to be enjoyed now and over the next 1-2 years."
