2014 PAUL HOBBS “RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY” CHARDONNAY
$54.99 $54.99
As one of the most iconic and influential winemakers in the world, Paul Hobbs has not only authored some of the greatest cult wines in California, he’s also well-known for his groundbreaking work in Argentina. Additionally, he recently began a joint venture in the Finger Lakes region of New York. His 2014 Russian River Chardonnay is comprised of Ross Station, Edward James, Ellen Lane, O’Connor and UV vineyards. Paul produces single vineyard Chardonnays from most of those vineyards, which retail for around $90-$100/btl… At $54.99/btl the 2014 Russian River is a great value for a top-level Chardonnay.
Robert Parker recently did an extensive tasting at Paul Hobbs winery, and concluded “…for Chardonnay, both 2013 and 2014 are brilliant vintages.” Not only was this wine conceived from several top level vineyards, but all the highest quality elements went in to creating this beautiful Chardonnay. The fruit was hand harvested at night, before aging for 12 months in Louis Latour, Francois Frères, Marques oak barrels to name a few. I strongly recommend securing a case of the 2014 while supplies last.

2014 PAUL HOBBS "RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY" CHARDONNAY
From Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, "As for the 2014 Chardonnays, they all possess great acid and obvious intensity. I’ll keep my notes short, but they are all brilliant wines, including the 2014 Chardonnay Russian River, which has plenty of citrus oil, white flowers, quince and peach." 90-92 Points
