2014 MALDONADO “PARR VINEYARD” CHARDONNAY

When I think of rich, creamy, buttery Chardonnay, Maldonado is the first to come to mind…  Developing for 18 months in premium French oak barrels, this wine was aged sur lie (pronounced sur lee) a French term meaning literally ‘on the sediment.’  The sur lie style aging plays a large role in contributing to this wine’s incredible richness and buttery aromas.  I highly recommend a case of this overtly ‘California Style’ Chardonnay.
