2013 WALKER STATION “JOHN DORY” CHARDONNAY
$70.00 $70.00
With terrific pedigree, Walker Station’s elaborately flavored Chardonnay unfolds extravagantly in glass with beautiful lychee nut, poached pear, honeysuckle, and crème brulee. Showing greater opulence than the 2012, wonderfully precise flavors wrap your palate in a silk blanket, laced together by a thread of natural acidity and mineral tones. Marking what is the final vintage of the Chardonnay that many who’ve tasted it consider to be California’s equivalent to Grand Cru Burgundy…
Authored by legendary winemaker Paul Hobbs, a mere 110 cases of this rare California Chardonnay were produced. Sparing absolutely no expense in creating a truly upper echelon level Chardonnay, this wine spends 11 months in Latour French oak barrels and articulates a cirque de soleil performance on the palate. With only 5 barrels produced, this will likely be the final opportunity to acquire some of Harry Walker’s John Dory Vineyard Chardonnay.

2013 WALKER STATION "JOHN DORY" CHARDONNAY
Winery Notes: "Presenting a fascinating bouquet layered with notions of honeyed pear, nectarine and brioche. On the palate wonderfully precise flavors of caramelized apples, peach, citrus blossom, lychee and tangerine caress your palate. Laced with a fine thread of acidity, this wine is absolutely gorgeous now and promises another 3-5 years of enjoyment" 110 cases produced
