2013 RISQUE “NAPA COUNTY” CHARDONNAY
Sourced exclusively from the Thomas LaTour Vineyards, perched near the top of Mount Veeder. Orchestrated from a mixture of Wente and Hyde Clones, the rugged, terroir driven slopes of this site shine perfectly in this stunningly complex Chardonnay.
Winemaker Doug Hackett, who you may recognize from Dogwood Cellars, fermented half of this wine in stainless steel tanks and the other half spent 22 months in oak. This unique fermentation style creates a dynamic performance on your palate, with ripe tropical fruits balanced with delicious acidity.
The Wine Spectator describes the 2013 vintage for Napa Valley Chardonnay as “An exceptional year, distinct for vibrancy and density…” If you’re searching for a unique, intriguing white to share with your friends and family this year, this is it…

Winery Notes: "This is a fresh, yet complex wine from the Thomas LaTour Vineyards on Mount Veeder in Napa County. Flavors of Asian pear, pineapple and apple fruit harmoniously mingle with spicy notes of sage and nutmeg. Finishes nicely with a slight butterscotch and creamy oak texture."
