2013 RAMEY “SONOMA COAST” CHARDONNAY
$34.99 $34.99
Constantly transforming in the glass… this wine of divine clarity and remarkable length was authored by David Ramey, one of the great pioneers in the California wine industry. David helped put many iconic wineries on the map, including Dominus, Rudd and Jericho Canyon.  Unreservedly inviting, an attractive perfume layered with butterscotch, caramelized pear, apple blossom and lightly buttered popcorn enchants your senses, as pure and focused flavors of honeysuckle, liquified stones, nectarines and lemon meringue pie circulate in a perfectly balanced and ornately textured style…
Conjured from Martinelli’s Charles Ranch and the renowned Platt Vineyard, both very cool and wind-swept sites are located within a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. An absolutely brilliant expression of cool climate, Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, aged for 12 months in oak, and fermented sur-lie, a style which contributed greatly to the wine’s remarkable richness and dazzling length.  We thoroughly enjoyed this Chardonnay, in fact, we liked so much that we’re pouring it by-the-glass in our Yountville store… Come in for a taste.

2013 RAMEY "SONOMA COAST" CHARDONNAY
From Vinous, "The 2013 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) is a gorgeous introduction to the vintage at Ramey. Lemon curd, white flowers, mint and lightly honeyed notes open up in an expressive, beautifully textured Chardonnay to drink now and over the next decade. Martinelli's Charles Ranch and Platt are the main fruit sources." 90 Points
