2013 DELGADO “SONOMA COAST” CHARDONNAY
$26.99 $26.99
This six barrel production Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast got my attention, and here’s why… It was authored by Don Van Staaveren. Don is responsible for authoring the Chateau St. Jean wines from ’85-’97, and made history when his 1996 Cinq Cepages was recognized as the #1 wine of the year on the 1999 Wine Spectator Top 100. It was the first Sonoma wine to receive the honor of being the #1 Wine in the World.
This beauty originates from the Champlin Creek Vineyard, which is farmed by experienced vineyard manager Ned Hill. Ned began helping his father farm the renowned Durell Vineyard at age of 9, and he currently farms the Parmelee Hill vineyard and other top sites. Spending 14 months in French oak barrels, this 2013 Chardonnay shares a perfect balance of rich, creamy texture and vibrant, penetrating fruits. At $13 per below retail, you’ll want to stock up on this exceptional Chardonnay before it’s too late.

Great value. This is a full body Chardonnay with a balance of oak, acidity and fruit. this is a great daily chardonnay.

I am a bit picky about Chardonnay-I like a full-bodied oaky, buttery flavor with a long finish. This wine did not disappoint! I need to buy it by the case!
