2019 STAGLIN FAMILY VINEYARD SALUS ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
$115.00 $115.00
Staglin Family Winery sits on an alluvial fan at the southwestern edge of Rutherford, where vines were first planted in the mid-1860s by some of Napa Valley’s first settlers. Today, their Cabernet Sauvignons are some of the most distinct and powerfully compelling wines produced in the valley, setting a precedence for the region, with their flagship wines fetching around $300 per bottle.
Winemaker Fredrik Johansson honed his craft working alongside Thomas Rivers Brown at Outpost and as the assistant winemaker at Schrader and Maybach. The 2019 Salus is 99% Cabernet Sauvignon with 1% Cabernet Franc all from the estate vineyard and represents top-level winemaking and farming, priced less than you’d expect for a wine of this remarkable pedigree.
