2018 VICE VERSA NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Vice Versa was launched in 2003 by Patrice Breton, whose entrepreneurial skills and ambition put him in the fast lane to producing wine from some of Napa Valley’s most celebrated vineyards, including Beckstoffer, Steltzner, and Sleeping Lady. Patrice received hands-on training from the influential Paul Hobbs, who began as Vice Versa’s inaugural winemaker and later introduced Patrice to Philippe Melka, the current consulting winemaker.

Each year the vines producing the most promising grapes are isolated and picked at full phenolic maturity, with only the highest quality fruit making the final cut. They then barrel age the wine for 22 months, with the most extraordinary barrels used in this bottling. The 2018 Vice Versa shows all of the seamless qualities of this outstanding vintage with a firm structure for graceful aging and an elegant depth of aromas and perfectly polished flavors.
