2017 INGLENOOK RUTHERFORD CABERNET SAUVIGNON
With his first harvest in 1882, Inglenook proprietor Gustave Niebaum set out to make wines that would rival the best European masterpieces, creating one of the first gravity-flow facilities in Napa Valley in 1887. Still today, they’re recognized for consistently producing richly captivating and classically styled wines from their vineyards located on the iconic Rutherford Bench.
In 1975, Francis and Eleanor Coppola purchased a portion of the original estate, including the Niebaum mansion and some vineyard acreage. After discovering the history of the iconic estate, the Coppola’s reunited the historic estate’s original vineyards with this Rutherford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon representing the wine that Gustave dreamed about, competing with some of the world’s top Cabernets.
