2015 MORLET MON CHEVALIER CABERNET SAUVIGNON
$195.00 $195.00
Revered for producing wines that are harmonious in their intensity, richness, and refinement, Luc Morlet’s Mon Chevalier Cabernet is a stunning example. It’s one of the most powerfully expressive and age-worthy wines that he makes. The vineyard is on a hillside at 1200 feet in Knights Valley, where the proximity to Mount St Helena creates a windy climate that’s ideal for the long ripening of Bordeaux grapes. The 2015 release is, as Jeb Dunnuck writes, “balanced, graceful and pure,” and with a 98 point score, it’s genuinely a joy to behold.

2015 MORLET MON CHEVALIER CABERNET SAUVIGNON
From Jeb Dunnuck, “The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Mon Chevalier... is a black fruited, powerful 2015 that just fills the mouth with fruit. Blueberries, plums, violets, chocolate, and savory herb notes all emerge from this full-bodied, big, meaty, licorice-laced effort that, like all of Luc’s wines, stays balanced, graceful and pure. Drink it anytime over the coming 25+ years.”
98 Points
From Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, "...very deep garnet-purple color and vibrant nose of red currant, red plums and lavender with fresh black berries and black cherries, plus wafts of dried herbs and fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals the full spectrum of Cabernet flavors, with lovely fine-grained tannins and great freshness providing a firm frame for the tightly wound flavors, finishing long and earthy/minerally. Just gorgeous.”
