2014 DAVID ARTHUR “MERITAGGIO” NAPA VALLEY
Transcending from the iron-rich, volcanic, red soils of Pritchard Hill, David Arthur’s delicious, bistro-styled Meritaggio red is laden with sultry aromas of juicy dark cherries, spring flowers, crushed violets and chocolaty undertones. Powered by 70% Cabernet Sauvignon from the winery’s Estate Vineyard, strategically located in one of the most desirable regions in Napa Valley… Neighbors include highly sought after wineries such as Chappellet, Bryant Framily, and Colgin to name a few… At $49.99/btl, David Arthur’s Meritaggio delivers serious bang for your buck.
Brought to life by talented winemaker Nile Zacherle whose experience includes winemaking in Australia and Bordeaux, as well as Napa Valley wineries Barnett and Chateau Montelena. David Arthur’s 2014 Meritaggio is simply outstanding. The winery has a terrific track record which spans more than 3 decades, crafting high-scoring and memorable wines. I strongly recommend adding a case of this fun-filled blend to your cellar, and also don’t miss the winery’s flagship Elevation 1147, and stunning new 3 Acre Cab release, listed below…

Winery Notes: "Our 2014 Meritaggio has a dense, dark ruby violet color that shows o a higher percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of baked cassis and plum as well as cocoa nibs, cedar and earth tones. The palate is lush and full bodied while framed with Sangiovese’s acidity, candied strawberry and red cherry leading to a long savory nish. Best from 2016 to 2023."
